Double Fine is putting several fantastic games on sale today, from Stacking and Brutal Legend on consoles to Iron Brigade on Steam.
But the best news of all is that the company has also dropped the price of one of the best games of all time, Psychonauts, to a mere five dollars. Well, $4.99 to be exact. How can this be?
Psychonauts puts you in the role of Rasputin, or “Raz,” a talented mind-reading kid at a summer camp for equally talented (and wacky) youngsters. His best friend, Lily, is about to have her brain put into a robot body, see, and… well, it just gets weirder from there. Suffice it to say that Psychonauts is an action platformer that is well worth your time and money, especially at the current low price point.
Psychonauts is full of the humor and just plain weirdness we’ve all come to expect from Tim Shafer, who created the game, which was then developed by Double Fine Productions and published by Majesco. It was initially released on the original XBox, Windows PCs and PlayStation 2 consoles in 2005, and has since gone on to gain a huge cult-following, even though it suffered poor sales upon initial release.
If you haven’t played Psychonauts, yet, you really owe it to yourself to do so. Having it right on your Mac should make it a no brainer, and the sale may only be for a limited time, though there has been no specific announcement in regards to a timeline. If you’re a Steam user, you can grab it there for the Mac as well for the same five dollar charge.
