STM’s Grip is a jack-of-all-trades. Adding a hardshell case to a cover that can sleep & wake your iPad, the Grip also features a textured surface to help you hang on, and a flip-out kickstand that can hold your iPad at two different angles. As a protective case, it works well, and all the extra bells and whistles certainly add to the Grip’s appeal. In fact, our only real complaint is that the dual-position kickstand only works in landscape orientation. Since we rarely use stands in portrait mode it’s a minor quibble, but support for portrait mode would have been nice.
The bottom line. It’s a bit pricy, but considering the feature set, STM’s Grip is a great case that does (almost) everything.
