Back in May, Square revealed the upcoming launch of its newest point-of-sale iPad accessory. The Square Stand is an elegant, sleek, modern iPad display that features a card reader and a swivel mount. The company that reinvented mobile payments has just announced that the Square Stand is officially on sale and ready to ship.
If you preordered the Square Stand, your new POS solution will be on its way this week. If you have yet to buy the business-friendly accessory, and want to see what it looks like, you can pick one up at an Apple retail store or Best Buy starting today. Best Buy will feature interactive product demos over the next few months.
The Square Stand is compatible with other business accessories, like a receipt printer, barcode scanner, and cash drawer. You can have a complete POS system for your small business for less than $1,500.
“Square Stand is a powerful way to run my entire business, and it looks great on my countertop,” said Matt Schodorf, owner of Schodorf’s Luncheonette in Highland Park, California. “Customers love it and it keeps my line moving.”
The Square Stand is compatible with the third and fourth generation iPad using a 30-pin connector. A lightning connector stand is scheduled to be released later this year. Square’s newest business accessory is available for $299 online and from Apple retail stores and Best Buys nationwide.
