Kickstarter Project eleMount Quadrupled Goal in Just One Week

eleMountWe love Kickstarter Projects. The level of creativity and innovation that is fostered thanks to the micro-investment website is extraordinary. Oftentimes, a product will get enough funding to be made that would have otherwise been nothing more than an inventor’s dream. The eleMount is a dream that was so well liked by the tech industry that it has more than quadrupled its original goal in just seven days. The Kickstarter campaign still has 51 days to go.

The eleMount is a CNC machined aluminum mount for all smartphones and tablets. Thanks to patented “elePads” you can stick the mount anywhere, without suction cups, or locking mechanisms.

The mount features a ball joint connector that screws tight for a multitude of viewing angles and allows you to position your iPad on almost any flat surface. You can mount it to your bathroom mirror, desktop, or even your kitchen tile.

Instead of using suction cups or some other locking mechanism, the eleMount uses strong polyurethane pads that stick to flat surfaces. They are designed to stick stronger to surfaces the more pressure you put on them. So, if you want to make sure your iPad sticks to your bathroom mirror, just push really hard. The material supposedly does not leave behind any residue when it is removed.

The elePad base is removable and the upper mount features a 1/4-inch 20-thread that allows you to screw it into any traditional tripod. So, your tabletop mount can double as a tripod mount.

The eleMount will retail for $79.99, but you can pledge $69 to the Kickstarter campaign and be one of the first to get the mount at an estimated delivery of January 2014.. There is also an eleMount mini package that only includes the tripod mount. The eleMount mini will retail for $69, but you can pledge $60 to the Kickstarter campaign and get your tripod mount by January 2014.

The project reached its goal of $10,000 within the first five hours of the campaign’s launch and doubled its goal within the first 24 hours. There is still nearly two months left in the Kickstarter campaign. You can be a part of the magic by pledging today.
