The Netflix app for iPad and iOS was updated yesterday, to Version 5.0. This update brings brings AirPlay streaming in the background – a big step up for the app – and ‘Netflix HD for iOS 7’.
The AirPlay portion of the update means Netflix content can now continue streaming to an Apple TV even when you switch away from the app.
In this update there are also playback optimizations and stability improvements.
All in all, a nice little update Netflix for iPad, which was already a stellar app.
