Cultured Code, the makers of the excellent Things task management app, had some big news to share at the end of last week:
We are delighted to announce that we’ve reached an incredible milestone today—someone has just bought the millionth copy of Things!
I used Things as my task manager for several years starting way back in 2008. It was one of my first essential and favorite apps on iOS. I have always loved its gorgeous UI – one that I felt encouraged me to spend more time getting stuff done.
I’ve switched away from the app in recent years, but I’m very happy to see it hit this impressive milestone. Firstly because the success is very well-deserved, and also because I think it’s a great reminder that it’s not just free apps or light, fun apps that are a hit in the iOS App Store. That a high quality productivity app can also be a big hit.
