Kickstarter Project – Acme Made’s ‘Ergo Book’ iPad Case Provides 360 Viewability

Ergo Book 1

Sure, there are times when you need extra rugged protection, an external keyboard, or the ability to mount your iPad off the countertop. Other times, you want your case to be as thin as your iPad, but still offer more functionality than just a sleeve would. The Acme Made Ergo Book is just the right fit and functionality for the minimalist in you.

The Ergo Book is made from sturdy polycarbonate, soft microfiber, and a waterproof exterior. It measures just 17 millimeters thick, or should I say, thin. The iPad snaps into the case using the form fitting frame. The cover itself acts as a book like protector with one side featuring a tri-fold for display stand action.

Ergo Book 2

The front side of the cover folds over and can be used as a hand holder for viewing your iPad in portrait mode. There is a slim band in the middle of the hand holder that you can use as a strap to secure the tablet while shifting the weight ergonomically.

The real star of the show with the Ergo book is the hidden rotation system that allows you to flip your tablet from portrait to landscape mode with just a turn. The frame features a swivel and pivot system that allows you to move your iPad outward from the center about an inch, which exposes the back camera for photographs. Additionally, you can rotate the iPad right inside the case to show off a completely different viewing angle when you are holding your tablet.

Ergo Book 3

The case will be available in black or gray. The genuine leather Ergo Book is available exclusively during the Kickstarter campaign. The company is already working on both an iPad Air and iPad mini model.

Right now, you can pledge to the Ergo Book Kickstarter campaign to get the iPad Air case for as low as $40, which is half off the retail price. The iPad mini case can be pre-ordered for $35, also half off. If you want the Kickstarter exclusive leather case, it will cost at least $90, but you won’t have the option to buy that model after the campaign is over.

The Ergo Book Kickstarter campaign ends June 14. Visit the company’s campaign for more information and to pre order your Ergo Book today.
