Apple brings iTunes Store to 56 new countries

Apple has announced in a press release that it has launched the iTunes Store in 56 new countries including Turkey, Russia, India, and South Africa. The iTunes Store in these new countries will sell all major and independent labels and offer both local and international music to the users. The users from the newly added countries will now be able to download over 20 million songs available for purchase through the iTunes Store.

Along with music users from the some newly added countries that include Turkey, Russia  India, and South Africa will also be able purchase or rent movies from the iTunes Store. Apple plans to add more countries to this list soon. The store offers movies in HD from major international studios including 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Warner Bros, The Walt Disney Studios, and others. The movies from local distributors will also be available in these countries through iTunes Store.

After the addition of these 56 counties Apple’s iTunes Store is available in 119 total countries. The recently added countries include Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, India, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Swaziland, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Fiji, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Micronesia, Mongolia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago.
