Apple: iPhone 5 pre-ordered two million times in first 24 hours

We knew it as a fact that the new iPhone 5 will be an astounding success for Apple, but no one has anticipated the number of pre-orders company has received in the first 24 hours of it’s sale. Apple has announced in an official press release that it received two million pre-orders for iPhone 5 in the initial 24 hours. The company didn’t missed the opportunity to note that this number is exactly double than the record of One Million pre-orders held by it’s predecessor, the iPhone 4S that was released in October 2011. The demand for iPhone 5 has already exceeded the initial supply, that means many buyers will have to wait until October to get their device shipped to them.
