A couple of years ago, I was reading an article, I don’t even remember where, and someone posted something in the comment section about Apple’s 12 Days of Gifts app. I excitedly opened my App Store app and searched for this wonderful gift giving present. It was nowhere to be found. It turned out that the 12 Days of Gifts app was only available in Europe, Japan, Canada, and just about everywhere else except the US.
Last night, Apple finally made my holiday wish come true by launching the 12 Days of Gifts app in the U.S. App Store. So, for those of you in my neighboring states who’ve been envying Apple’s worldwide generosity, starting January 26, you’ll be able to participate in 12 days of free apps, games, movies, books, music, and more.
From the app’s iTunes summary:
“From 26 December – 6 January, you can download a gift each day—songs, apps, books, movies, and more—with the 12 Days of Gifts app. Each day’s gift will only be available for 24 hours, so download the free app to make sure you don’t miss out. Please note: Not all content is available in all countries.”
This year, the first day of the giveaway starts on December 26 (also known as Boxing Day) and ends on January 6. Some giveaways in previous years have included songs from the Foo Fighters, Charlie Chaplin’s “Modern Times,” Episodes of “House,” and more.
The 12 Days of Gifts app is available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch for free. Download it in the App Store today and get ready for free stuff from Apple in just a couple of weeks.
