Griffin Releases New iPad mini Cases

Accessory maker Griffin has just announced the launch of their new line of iPad mini covers and cases. The popular company has released several designs of their tablet protector, revised to fit the 7.9-inch iPad.

As of today, Griffin offers iPad mini cases and covers from the Survivor and Folio lines. Elecronista is also reporting that Griffin will soon launch The IntelliCase, CinemaSeat, and Passport line for the iPad mini.

The Survivor is a rugged case that offers uber protection for your iPad mini. “The Griffin Survivor Case is the most protective case we’ve ever built.” This case is made of a shatter-resistant polycarbonate frame featuring shock absorbent silicone. The built-in screen protector keeps your touch screen from scuffs and scratches and hinged plugs seal the dock connector, camera lens, headphone port. The Survivor comes in all black. You can buy it today for $49.99 from the company’s website.

The Folio is a protective cover that flips open to give you quick access to your screen and closes like a book. When you flip the Folio behind the iPad mini, you can lock it into place and the cover becomes a stand, holding your tablet upright in landscape mode. The Folio comes in brown, gray, and burgundy, as well as chevron pattern and owl pattern. It is available today from the company’s website for $44.99. There is also a line of “Slim Folios” for the iPad mini that is made from microsuede and works just like the Folio. The Slim model comes in brown, gray and black and can be purchased today from the company’s website for $39.99.

Electonista also reports that Griffin’s IntellCase model will be available for the iPad mini. It is made of polycarbonate with a hinged cover. It includes magnetic closures that work the tablet’s sleep/wake function. It will cost between $35 and $40 and is available in red, black, “PixelCrash,” Camo, and ZigZag.

According to Electronista, Griffin will also be releasing the CinemaSeat for iPad mini, which is a mount for your car with cutaways for easy access to your screen, controls and ports. It features an adjustable strap for attaching to the car’s headrest. It will retail for $40.

Lastly, Griffin will soon launch the Passport for iPad mini. This cover is a one-piece folio style cover that is held shut by an elastic band. It is made from microsuede interior and will come in an owl pattern or varsity pattern. The Passport will retail for $35.
