In an attempt to generate more interest in the company, Hertz is rolling out a new in-store program that features iPad kiosks so that patrons can check out nearby attractions, kids can play games, and travelers can charge their devices while they wait.
According to travel blog Skift, Hertz is “remaking the car-rental experience” by adding a few new features to its locations. The company will offer snack stands, FedEx stations, device charging stations, and iPad kiosks.
The iPad kiosks will include a number of tablets, each loaded with apps that will allow travelers to research local attractions. If your family is waiting for a car, the youngsters can pass the time playing games. If you have your own iPad, charge it at the charging station.
Hertz is working on improving the check in experience by turning a simple reservation line into a fully loaded storefront packed with everything travelers need to make their stopover a pleasant event.
The newly remodeled service areas are called “Road Trip by Hertz.” The next time you need to rent a car, you may see a whole new look to your local Hertz location.
