Not that you really need it, but should you have money to burn, Apple is now shipping the 128GB version of its iPad with Retina Display, which is already showing available to ship times of as much as three to five days.
The Apple Online Store has started shipping the latest iPad with Retina Display in the new 128GB capacity, with the Wi-Fi only version selling for $799 and available to ship in one to three days for either black or white.
It’s a bit of a different story with the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, which sells for a whopping $929 — while the AT&T model shows “available to ship” in the same timeframe as the Wi-Fi only edition for the black version, while Sprint and Verizon models have slightly longer times, currently three to five business days for both colors.
If history is any indication, those available to ship times are only likely to increase over the next few weeks, so if you’ve got a hankering for 128GB of storage, you might want to saunter over to Apple.com and throw your cash down right now.
