by I was wondering if I can still set up iCloud on my iPhone even though I’m still on Snow Leopard on my Mac? Searches explain that I need to have Lion or higher to set up iCloud, but I was wondering if I can just set it up on the iPhone 4 directly without using my Mac?
As long as iOS 5 (or higher) is installed on your iPhone 4, then you can still use Find My iPhone without setting up iCloud on your Mac. To get started, open Settings > iCloud. You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID and password to log into iCloud. If you don’t have a password, tap on the “Get a Free Apple ID” button at the bottom of the screen.
All you need to enable iCloud is an Apple ID and password.
After signing in, ensure that the Find My iPhone option is turned On. That’s really all you need to do.
Tracking your devices is as easy as logging into iCloud.com.
In order to track the location of your iOS device, you can log into iCloud.com through your Snow Leopard machine’s web browser using the same Apple ID and password that you used to enable iCloud on your iPhone.
