When I was a kid, I watched Nickelodeon shows religiously. “You Can’t Do That on Television,” “Danger Mouse,” and “Turkey Television,” were all I looked forward to after a long, hard day at school. Kids today who feel the same will be happy to know that Hulu, in collaboration with Viacom, is now the first streaming media service to offer current episodes of some of Nickelodeon’s most popular programs.
Subscribers to Hulu Plus can access the five most recent episodes of “iCarly,” “Big Time Rush,” “VICTORiOUS,” “How to Rock,” “Supah Ninjas,” “SpongeBob Squarepants,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Penguins of Madagascar,” “Winx Club,” “Robot Monster,” “The Legend of Korra,” “T.U.F.F. Puppy,” and the new “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
The shows will become available for viewing 21 days after episodes air on television.
In the same breath, Hulu also announced that it is broadening its content selection on Hulu Latino to include content from Viacom’s bilingual young Latinos network, Tr3s. The streaming media service will begin rolling out “Ninas Mal,” “Quiero Mis Quinces,” “Quiero Mi Boda,” and “Quiero Mi Baby.”
Now, if only Hulu Plus would get around to offering access to those old “Nick at Night” programs, like “The Smothers Brothers,” “I Spy,” and “The Monkees.”
