Apple released the third beta build of iOS 8 today after a three-week lack of updates, and it’s full of tweaks that were neither in previous updates nor mentioned in the keynote at WWDC 2014. While there’s nothing earth-shattering about the update, it does include a number of modifications to settings and the UI as well as an option to switch on iCloud Drive. Cult of Mac and MacRumors have nice rundowns of all the changes included in the update.
iCloud Drive is probably the biggest new addition. If you’re in the iOS 8 beta, you can find its toggle under the settings menu for iCloud, which will thus allow apps to store documents and data in the cloud for use across multiple devices. Along with the feature comes the ability to let other Apple users find you in apps by using the e-mail address associated with your Apple ID.

Apple continues its evolution of the Weather app in the wake of its split with Yahoo with a questionable tweak to the text so it’s aligned to the center. Now, instead of clicking on the city name for additional information, you’ll find information such as humidity, wind, and precipitation by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
Wi-Fi calling also makes its first appearance, especially for T-Mobile users. Not every carrier supports the service, but you’ll be able to turn it on under “Phone” in Settings if available.
iOS 8’s ability to let you see which photos you recently deleted in a temporary folder was actually included in the second beta update, but Cult of Mac touches on it again in its
