No matter what mount or case or stand you have for your iPad, it is never universal enough to use everywhere. If you can strap it to the back of your car seat, you probably can’t display it on a tabletop. If you can mount it to a microphone stand, you probably can’t use it in the kitchen very conveniently. Loop by Mozzic hopes to change all of that. This case is designed to allow you to display your iPad Air in the perfect viewing angle just about anywhere, including under your kitchen cabinet, on the back of an airplane seat, or in the garage.
Loop is a multi-functional iPad Air case with one special feature – the integrated hanging system. A sturdy, retractable steel cable sits at the top of the case so you can pull it out and drape it over any knob, peg, or protrusion that will support it.
The case itself has a similar design to the Smart Cover. It has a segmented leather front cover that can be flipped over and folded in two places to create a variety of viewing angles. The backside is made from glass-filled polycarbonate material and features a series of groves to help make positioning easier. The front flap folds over and magnetically attaches to the back side so you can display your iPad Air in the best angle for typing, reading, watching movies, or sharing a Facetime moment with friends.
The hinge where the front flap meets the back cover is made from stainless steel alloy and houses the retractable cable. You can pull the cable out from the recessed groove and hang it from any protruding object that measures about one or two inches around.
If you want to use an object that is larger than the cable, you won’t be out of luck. The Loop comes with its own adapter. The magnetic accessory loop wraps around larger objects, like the headrest mount of a car seat. The accessory loop is attached together magnetically, so you can take it apart, thread it through an object, like a drawer handle, and clasp it closed again. Then, hand your iPad Air from the new mount.
The looping mount, in conjunction with the folding flap, allows users to hang the iPad Air from practically anywhere and still get a great viewing angle. If you want to watch a movie on an airplane, you can hang your iPad from the tray table lock on the back of the seat in front of you. Flip the flap over and angle it so that it rests against the back of the seat and lifts your iPad Air up in just the right angle. No more holding it in your lap, hunching over, or trying to fit your tablet on that tiny tray along with your drink and snack bag.
