MPAA says digital first sale doctrine undermines emerging models

Last week the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee Intellectual Property held a hearing on the first sale doctrine as part of review on copyright laws. The committee heard testimony from a number of businesses and groups on the subject of extending first right sales to digital items.
