New 21.5-Inch iMacs Could Arrive This Week (Update: Apple Confirms)

New iMacsThe clock is ticking at Apple, and it’s not just iTunes 11 that everyone is waiting for by the end of this month — Cupertino also promised supplies of the sleek new 21.5-inch iMac models, which could arrive as early as Wednesday.

MacRumors is reporting that Apple may soon pull the trigger on availability for the latest 21.5-inch iMac, which continues to show “available in November” from the company’s online store.

According to a report from Belgium-iPhone.Lesoir.be, Apple Premium Resellers in Belgium are scheduled to begin receiving the smaller iMacs beginning Wednesday, which is when the site also believes Apple will begin accepting online orders.

There’s currently no way to order any new iMac from Apple’s online store as the wait continues for the 27-inch models in December and the calendar keeps shedding days in November for the debut of the 21.5-inch model, both of which made their debut at the company’s iPad mini event last month.

MacRumors has also posted an email sent to resellers from an Apple distributor which claims there will be “extremely limited” supply for the new 21.5-inch models, which are available for dealers to order now.

Update: Well look at that — as we were writing this post, Apple went ahead and made it official. The new iMacs will be available to order starting this Friday, November 30, although the 27-inch model will still begin shipping in December.
