New iPad Lasts Over 25 Hours as LTE Personal Hotspot

With the screen off on the 3rd-generation iPad, Cult of Mac was able to get  25.3 hours of battery life when using it as an LTE hotspot.

Once you turn off the iPad’s giant Retina display, the battery will last for a very long time. As you can imagine, the display is one of the main reasons the physical battery dimensions in the new iPad have been beefed up to 11,666 mAh (42Wh) from 6,944 mAh (25Wh). With the Retina display turned off, the new iPad will last for over a day on Qualcomm’s MDM9600 chip. Not bad.
