RUMOR: Apple Currently Developing iWatch with Curved Glass

Apple is in the process of developing a wristwatch that features a curved glass screen, reports Nick Bilton of The New York Times. He cites people close to the situation as saying this device will run iOS, and he goes on to speculate that the “iWatch” could have Siri and interact with your iPhone and other devices using Bluetooth.

In its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass, according to people familiar with the company’s explorations, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because they are not allowed to publicly discuss unreleased products. Such a watch would operate Apple’s iOS platform, two people said, and stand apart from competitors based on the company’s understanding of how such glass can curve around the human body.

I think this would be an interesting market for Apple to expand into, hopefully this is a rumor that will soon become a reality.
