The iOS rumors season is in full swing these days with ‘insider’ reports coming from every corner of the web. Now a French tech blog is claiming to have leaked photos of iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 components. NoWhereElse, which has leaked parts for iOS devices in the past as well claims that it has acquired the images from an Apple supplier that manufactures different hardwares for company’s products. The leaked components are two separate speakers for iPhone 5S and iPhone 6. The blog claims that Apple will release two separate models of iPhone this year – One will be an upgraded version of iPhone while the other will be a totally new iPhone with new design.
Next up is the rumor backed by leaked strings and 9to5Mac’s sources. As you know the maximum storage model of iOS devices is 64GB, however it is reported that the upcoming batch of iOS Devices may feature 128 GB model along with the smaller ones. This interesting information has come to forefront in the iOS 6.1 BuildManifest.plist file that carries references to 128GB system partition along with the storage options available today. iOS 6.1 beta 5 was recently released to developers.
While we would like a 128GB model for all iOS devices, 9to5Mac reports otherwise as the site says only iPad (4th generation) will be released with 128GB memory and Apple won’t kill the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models available today.
Now if 9to5Mac’s isn’t true then it would be interesting to see if Apple kills the model of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with minimum storage to make room for the 128GB model or would introduce it along with all the ones available today with a higher price.
No details about the availability and pricing have been revealed.
