The Super Monkey Ball series is a big hit for SEGA. It may not be as popular as Sonic the Hedgehog, but those game makers really know how to anthropomorphize things and the cute little monkey with big ears and a backpack is no exception. Ai Ai is headed back to iOS in an all-new adventure. Similar to Sonic Pinball, this adventure drops you onto an obstacle course that will bounce you to a big win.
Super Monkey Ball Bounce puts Ai Ai back in his ball for a Plinko style ball drop adventure. Players shoot the big-eared monkey out of a cannon at the top of the screen and watch as he bounces off of everything nearby. All obstacles are worth points and players earn extra points for collecting things like bananas. Plus, collect bonus power ups for even more fun.
When you aim the cannon, the estimated trajectory will show you where Ai Ai is headed. The goal is to collect as many points as possible before dropping to the bottom. There is a moving bucket at the bottom that will score you super high points if you manage to hit the target. You might also earn an extra life or two on your way down.
Super Monkey Ball Bounce will be free to play with in-app purchases available for coins that can be used to buy special items to help you clear the game board.
There is no official information on the game’s release date. Currently, the game is available in the Canada App Store, which means it is likely to launch this Thursday.
