Spin is a iOS-only Skype alternative that allows you to share photos and videos with friends. Spin uses HD video and and 44kHz audio to provide the highest-quality experience that they can. The app places an emphasis on shared experiences for up to ten people, and allows you to create events for you and your friends to participate in together.
Adding people to a conversation is easy. Tap the people tab will bring down a list of your contacts. Select the person or people you want to add, then drag them over to your video window to contact them. You can leave a conversation by dragging your video window out of the group window. To create an event simply tap the Gatherings square that says “Plan Something”. There you can give it a name, set the time, add a photo, and invite people.
Spin allows you to share media like photos from Flickr, Facebook, and Instagram. You can also share videos from Facebook as well. You can manipulate photos in a number of ways, including applying a number of effects to them. Group Remix lets you go through your friends’ favorite photos and control playback on their videos. Spin also gives you control over what you share so your friends only see what you want them to see. You can also send media to your TV via AirPlay.
