Zen Studios is famous for bringing such pinball titles to iOS as Star Wars Pinball. The company makes fun, fantastic, virtual pinball machines to keep you going for days. Telltale Games is famous for launching a new genre of point-and-click adventure games like The Walking Dead: The Game that put players in the position of having to make difficult decisions, and fast. Together, the two companies have joined forces to launch a licensed game that is sure to make your skin crawl.
The Walking Dead Pinball will fuse together the story-driven gameplay of Telltale games with the fast-paced action of Zen Studios pinball.
The table design will be based on season one of TWD: The Game. Locations include Clementine’s tree house and Everett’s pharmacy, as well as the dangerous streets of Savannah. Players will find themselves haunting the same spots that Lee and Clem encountered so long ago in the first season of the game.
The table will feature choice-driven gameplay that is taken directly from TWD: The Game’s five-episode first season. It will also include original story material and dialog from the game’s cast. Scenarios will include choosing who to save in a walker attack, keeping up the group’s morale, searching for food and supplies, acquiring tools, and navigating through the horde of undead.
“Zen knocked it out of the park with their interpretation Telltale’s first season of The Walking Dead as a pinball table,” said Steve Allison, SVP of Publishing at Telltale Games. “Players once again get to step into the shoes of Lee Everett and protect Clementine as all the major events of season one play a role in the first ever pinball game that features choice and consequence gameplay.”
The Walking Dead Pinball will be available this summer from Zen Studios. The game is being demonstrated at this year’s E3 Electronics Entertainment Expo. Visit the Zen Studio and Telltale Games Facebook pages for more information.
