The Week in iOS Accessories: Wood makes everything better

Wood makes everything better

This week’s roundup of accessories includes several speakers made more beautiful by using natural materials, as well as docks, keyboards, stands, and more.

Bluelounge

The $100 Sanctuary4 is a tablet stand that also has four USB ports so that multiple iOS devices (or other smartphones or accessories) can be charged at once. The device is pitched for hotels and retail businesses, but if you have a device-heavy family, you might find some room on your kitchen counter for it.

Chinon

The $249 Legato is a hardwood ash speaker dock for the iPhone. Rather than using a powered speaker, it passively channels the audio from your iPhone’s own speaker through an ambient radiator to create richer, warmer sound. Also, it looks pretty cool.

Felt Audio

The $100 Pulse is billed by Felt Audio as “the world’s first ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker” because it clips to bag straps, car visors, beach chairs and more. It’s the size of a deck of playing cards, and it enables speakerphone calls or out-loud music playing for up to eight hours on a single battery charge.
