Apple announced today that with its new Apple Pay payment processing and NFC-enabled mobile wallet for Passbook, a number of retailers and third-party apps could leverage the new payment system. Target, one of the early Apple Pay partner, will allow customers to use their app and pay with Apple Pay to make online shopping easier.
Check out how this all works:
Along with Target, Apple is also extending the Apple Pay payment system to the Sephora, OpenTable, Starbucks, Instacart, Apple Store, Groupon, Disney, Panera Bread, Staples, MLB.com, Uber, and Tickets.com apps so you can shop online on your favorite iOS device. With Apple Pay, online shopping also becomes easier as your information gets populated instantly into the fields so you don’t have to manually enter them as our quick Instagram video demonstrates.
